That’s right, four blocks of people in the cold in dark overcoats.

Hollywood comes calling … and Wisconsin responds.

Kidd O’Shea is on the scene, contributing to the Wisconsin Avenue Blog at WISN.com.

It was an experience.

Met some nice people in line, as I waited for just less than three hours for my chance at stardom.

They’ll call me, or that’s what they say they are going to do.

Calls may come, they may not. It may be later in spring too.

We’ll see:

Here the casting people tell us what’s going down.

Oh the sweet anticipation. I’m so ready.

Thousands of people came in period dress, suits and whatever they could to make an impression.

They all have big screen dreams.

Wow, look at that line

I got here at least an hour before they were to start and the line wrapped outside and around the building. At least a few hundred people are ready to be extras just like I am.

Time to leave the WISN station and head over to the audition for Public Enemies with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.

I used the Weather Watch 12 green screen to get some practice to get ready for my audition.

Not sure what to expect when I get there.

Let the journey begin

I’m going to do my best to get a non-speaking part in the new movie “Public Enemies” being shot this spring in Illinois and Wisconsin. Here’s the first of many video reports to come.

I have no idea why my voice is slow in the clip… I’ll learn what I’m doing eventually.
